Tzu Chi’s Seattle Branch received the Best Community Partnership Award from Washington State’s King County Community Partnership for Transition Solutions (KCCPTS) Summer Institute in gratitude for its continued support of ex-offenders and their families during the pandemic through the Hunger Relief program, which provided ex-offenders with gas money to deliver groceries to needy ex-offenders and their families. This is the third time Tzu Chi has received this award.

The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) of Indonesia presented Tzu Chi’s Indonesia Branch with the Ikon Prestasi Pancasila Award in recognition of Tzu Chi’s cooperation with local religious organizations to promote interfaith harmony.

The Indonesian Presidential Palace presented Tzu Chi’s Indonesia Branch with the Spirit of Revolution Award, which included the Interfaith Promotion Award, the Social Charity Award, and the Inclusive Development Organization Award in recognition of Tzu Chi’s contributions to the development of its four major missions, creating opportunities for people to do good, and promoting social prosperity and reducing poverty. Tzu Chi was the only religious organization to receive the Social Charity Award for contributing to society during the pandemic.
