2022年起開始與5% Design Action社會設計平臺,攜手專業設計團隊,歷過歸納、收集,來回不斷與志工討論後,挑選北區大、中、小型環保教育站為示範站進行設計,分別為三重志業園區環保站、木柵環保站、板橋忠孝環保站,朝著環保站2.0進行優化。We began collaborating with the 5% Design Action social design platform in 2022 and partnered with the professional team and volunteers to discuss and select large, medium, and small environmental protection education center sites in the north as demonstration centers for design. These centers include the Sanchong Tzu Chi Park Environmental Protection Center, Muzha Environmental Protection Center, and Banqiao Zhongxiao Environmental Protection Center, which are being upgraded to Environmental Protection Center 2.0.

PaGamO是以專業教育單位為後盾,為學子量身訂做「環保防災勇士養成計畫」,讓環保防災知識突破時間、場域空間的限制,全面強化學生數位環境素養、協助提升學生防災觀念,讓環境教育從小做起,讓學習發揮最大效益。PaGamO is based on a professional educational institution and customizes an "Environmental Protection and Disaster Prevention Warrior Development Project" for students. 氣候變遷加遽,環保腳步不能鬆懈,定點的環保教育站難免有所限制,因此,我們繼第一代的行動環保教育車後,再利用兩個四十呎的大貨櫃打造「第二代行動環保教育車」,強化科技結合創意和互動情境教育,設計豐富多元且具教育性的闖關遊戲,自2023年7月初開始進行各縣市巡迴展示,使前來參訪學的學子與民眾體驗不一樣的環境教育。Climate change is rapidly accelerating, and environmental protection efforts cannot be relaxed. However, fixed environmental protection education centers come with certain limitations. To overcome these limitations, we have created the second generation of mobile environmental education vehicles by using two 40-foot containers. We have strengthened the integration of technology with creativity and interactive situational education to design rich and diverse educational vehicles. We have started touring exhibitions in various counties and cities since July We aim to allow students and visitors to experience a different kind of environmental education.

Recent research has confirmed that vegetarianism can indeed make the earth a better place. At COP28, the food system transformation that we and our partners have advocated for many years was finally recognized by the summit organizers. We place top emphasis on energy, water resource, and waste management to minimize environmental and climate risks and impacts of our operating sites.
用電管理Power Consumption Management
我們的主要能源消耗來自於辦公室與活動用電,其中以空調、照明、資訊設備使用為主。為有效管理用電,以了解各據點及活動使用狀況,即時掌握用電變化趨勢,其中包括用電調控、老舊空調及燈具汰換等;同時鼓勵優化辦公空間及活動區域用電設備、提升能源使用效率。2024年起,將導入ISO50001能源管理系統,由北區的臺北分會及桃園分會等兩處作為示範據點,未來亦逐步擴展至其他據點優化管控作業,持續進行節能措施評估,並透過使用再生能源、逐步建制能管系統以及研擬評估綠電採購等作為,降低每年用電量。Our office operations and charity activities (air conditioning, lighting, and information appliances) account for the majority of our energy consumption. We prioritize effective power consumption management to gain a clear understanding of power usage conditions of operating sites and activities and maintain a real-time grasp of power consumption trends. This also includes power consumption controls, replacement of obsolete air conditioning and lighting devices, and enhancement of energy use efficiency. At the same time, we encourage the optimization of electrical equipment in office spaces and activity areas and improve energy efficiency. The ISO 50001 Energy Management System has been adopted in 2024 with the Taipei and Taoyuan Branches in northern Taiwan as demonstration sites. In the future, we will gradually expand the scope of our optimized energy management and control operations to include other operating sites. The feasibility of energy conservation measures will be assessed on an ongoing basis. The ultimate goal is to decrease annual power consumption through renewable energy, gradual installation of energy management systems, and deliberation on and assessment of green power procurement.

再生能源使用:建置屋頂太陽能發電系統Renewable Energy Use: Installation of Rooftop Solar Power Systems
我們於全臺北、中、南、東區共 15 處會所屋頂設置太陽能光電設備,其中三重及板橋靜思堂已於 2020 年開始運轉發電。截至2023年底,其他 13處設置皆已陸續完成,並以每年提供389萬度電以躉售方式回饋給臺電,除了上述15個據點外,我們仍逐步評估可建構之據點,以提高自身再生能源利用率,預計未來2027年逐步朝向自發轉供或自發自用,同步響應2050淨零相關目標。We have installed solar power facilities on the rooftops of 15 Tzu Chi offices spanning northern, central, southern, and eastern Taiwan. The rooftop facilities of the Sanchong and Banqiao Jing Si Halls have been operational and generating electricity since 2020. By the end of 2023, the remaining 13 systems were successively completed. These facilities generate a total of 3.89 GWh, which is sold to Taipower under the FIT (Feed-in Tariff) scheme. In addition to these 15 locations, we are assessing the feasibility of adding similar installations at other sites to increase our renewable energy usage rate. Our goal is to transition to self-use or wheeling agreements for self-generated electricity by 2027, in line with our 2050 Net-Zero target.

我們訂定供應商管理作業規範,作為管理供應商之指導原則,與往來供應商簽訂合作契約,以每年一次的頻率,依價格、品質、交期及廠商配合度進行評估考核,若有違反重大法規將停止合作,並依相關紀錄編制「供應商評核表」,做為次年合作之依據,更同步推廣遵循相關規範簽署《人權及環境永續承諾書》,包括勞動人權、環保保護、誠信經營、職業安全衛生管理等面向。自2020年4月底至今推動,曾與我們簽訂承諾書之供應商共有354家。We have stipulated Supplier Management Regulations as the guiding framework for supplier management. Supplier appraisals are conducted once a year based on key criteria such as price, quality, delivery times, and compliance. In the case of major legal violations, cooperation is terminated. Supplier Evaluation Charts are created based on relevant records as a key reference for cooperation in the following year. In addition, we actively encourage suppliers to sign a Letter of Commitment to Human Rights and Environmental Sustainability encompassing various dimensions such as labor rights, environmental protection, ethical corporate management, and occupational health and safety in line with relevant norms, standards, and regulations. As of the end of 2023, 354 suppliers have signed this letter since its adoption at the end of April 2020.

綠色採購與在地採購Green and Localized Procurement
為降低環境衝擊,落實環境友善理念,我們提倡綠色採購進而帶動綠色生產鏈,並依營運所需優先採用具環保、節能、能源之星、節水、綠建材、FSC永續林業及減碳等標章之產品。另購入之公務車亦以節能油電車或純電車為考量,並透過採購與供應商管理,發揮綠色影響力。此外,亦優先選用在地供應商,實際支持低碳永續商品與在地企業,同時亦降低採購之風險。To mitigate environmental impacts and implement eco-friendly concepts, we advocate green procurement and thereby foster green production chains. In addition, we give preference to Green Mark, Energy Label, Energy Star, Water-Saving Mark, Green Building Material, FSC, and Carbon Reduction Mark-certified products. When purchasing company vehicles, we only consider fuel-efficient hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and electric vehicles (EVs). We also strive to maximize our green influence through procurement and supplier management. We give priority to local suppliers to support low-carbon, sustainable products and local enterprises and minimize procurement risks.
